If you have been told that you need to decrease your LDL Cholesterol but you cannot tolerate common statin medications, you may qualify for this clinical trial. A common side effect of statin therapy is muscle pain or cramping. This medication is being developed for patients who are intolerant to statin therapy at the usual or low dose. This is a 6-month study to evaluate the oral investigative medication used alone or added to your current therapy to lower LDLs. All blood work, study-related care, and study medication are provided at no charge. Compensation is available for time and travel for the 8 to 10 office visits required.
